PanAfrican Energy Tanzania (PAET) has announced the appointment of Mwinshehe Said to the Board of Directors of the company.

Mwinshehe has been with the company since 2004 when he joined as Financial Controller. He Mwinshehe joined PanAfrican Energy Tanzania in 2004, just as the company began supplying gas to Dar es Salaam. He has led the company’s finance team ever since, overseeing all accounting and tax matters, becoming an expert in his field.
Prior to joining PanAfrican Energy Tanzania, Mwinshehe worked with a professional accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, for more than 10 years, and briefly as a Chief Internal Auditor of Airtel Tanzania Limited, a telecommunication company.
In his time with the company, Mwinshehe has witnessed the beginning of PAET’s company operations, the onboarding of first industrial customers and expansion in the development of gas.
He has also been instrumental in developing effective finance monitoring and control tools and measures, ensuring strict compliance with all national laws and regulations as well as international standards for accounting and gas sector reporting.
According to a statement issued by the company, “his appointment to the board is a demonstration of the company’s trust in his ability, professionalism and dedication. We look forward to his valuable inputs at the strategic level alongside his ongoing contribution to his daily operations,”
Mwinshehe’s experience is highly respected amongst the oil and gas community in Tanzania. He recently held the position of Treasurer for the Oil and Gas Association of Tanzania OGAT, and advised on several high level tax and finance committees.
He holds B.Com (Accounting) from the University of Dar es Salaam, MSc (Finance) from the University of Strathclyde and is a registered Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (CPA-PP)
