SWISSPORT Tanzania has commended the Government for its continued efforts in creating a business enabling environment adding that the business regulatory reforms initiated by the government have helped to enhance the company’s the performance.

Speaking during the 37th Annual General Meeting which brought together various stakeholders in Dar es Salaam, the SWISSPORT Tanzania Chief Executive Officer, Mrisho Yassin said the regulatory reforms have helped to increase the company’s efficiency.
“The Government has embarked on an aggressive tourism marketing drive that saw the official launch of the Royal Tour Film, we expect the number of tourists to double which in turn will boost the demand for our services and benefit the country at large. As such, we value the creativity, effort and immense support that the current administration under President Samia Suluhu Hassan and we as a company work around the clock to ensure that this good cooperation thrives,” he said.
He noted that the company has contributed to the country’s economic development by paying the required taxes to the respective authorities, through creation of employment opportunities and also by creating a reputable image of the country for the oncoming visitors by their operational visibility in airport entries like Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) and Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA)
“I take this opportunity to reassure our trusted customers that as a company, we will continue providing better services while simultaneously helping to enhance the good reputation of our country,” he said.
The company’s Board Director Dr Charles Kimei during the event reiterated that the company will continue improving its operations and service delivery and called upon the company’s stakeholders to keep their trust in the company.
“There are brighter days ahead. We sometimes go through hardships but the most important thing is to stand firm together while hoping for a bright future,” he added.
