Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals in Tanzania raked in $24.34 million (approximately 57bn/-) during February 2023 according to the latest data by the Tanzania Investment center (TIC).

According to the investment body, four M&A deals with a total value of $24.34 million were recorded in three different sectors that include energy, telecommunication and manufacturing.

But according to the latest analysis of the Fair Competition Commission (FCC), telecommunication sector accounted for the lion’s share of the recorded M&A deals in February 2023 with one deal recorded during the month having a total value of $24.14 million.

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) are an important signal on growth, stability and potential of any economy.

Investors are increasingly aware that M&A are one of the quickest ways to expand their resources, increase their market share, or raise capital—all of which help them modernize their operations, make them more efficient, and boost their competitiveness.
