Tanzania has used the final leg of its European investment roadshow to present opportunities spanning agriculture, mineral processing, ports and logistics to potential investors in the Netherlands.
The delegation arrived in The Hague on October 5 as part of the EU–Tanzania Investment and Business Forum 2026–2027, pitching projects to around 90 businesses.
Among the opportunities presented were coffee and cashew processing, wheat and edible-oil production, critical minerals, the Bagamoyo and Mwambani ports, Zanzibar’s Mangapwani port hub and several dry ports.
Transport infrastructure was also highlighted, including proposed Standard Gauge Railway connections and opportunities linked to the expansion and modernisation of logistics networks.
Agriculture emerged as a major area of interest, particularly opportunities to move further up the value chain through food production, processing, storage and export.
Tanzania is also seeking investment in fertiliser blending, seed production and irrigation technology as it works to increase agricultural productivity.
In the mineral sector, investment opportunities include graphite, nickel, rare earths and other critical minerals, with the government placing greater emphasis on processing and value addition.
The roadshow forms part of a wider EU–Tanzania initiative designed to connect Tanzanian projects with European companies, investors and financial institutions.
The European tour began in Finland before moving to Italy and the Netherlands. A high-level EU–Tanzania investment forum is planned for Dar es Salaam in early 2027.
For Tanzania, the focus now shifts from presenting opportunities to converting investor interest into financing, partnerships and projects.
